October is “Informal Reporting” month. Parents will receive an informal report from each one of their child’s teachers by October 30th. Informal reports are usually in the form of a phone call, a written interim report, emailed interim reports, or conferences. Reports are to describe what the student is able to do, the areas of learning that require further attention or development, and ways the teacher is supporting the student’s learning needs. Where appropriate, the reports may include ways the student or parents may support the learning. If written interim reports are sent, please sign them and have your child return them to the teacher. The first formal report card will be sent home on Thursday, November 19th. As well, parents may wish to schedule a Parent/Teacher Meeting on November 25th or 26th. Please contact the school if you wish to book an appointment or if you have any questions.
